Tania Tsygel is a boutique interior designer based in Marbella, creating bespoke residential interiors for luxury villas, penthouses and high-end properties across the Costa del Sol. Since 2013, she has developed individual interiors that combine design expertise, functionality and exceptional attention to detail. The studio takes on a select number of projects, allowing Tania to remain personally involved throughout the design process. Each interior is developed specifically for the property, its architecture and the people who will live in it.
BESPOKE DESIGN FOR HIGH-END PROPERTIES
Our focus is on high-end residential interiors, with contemporary villas being a particular area of our expertise, alongside luxury apartments, penthouses and private residences. We believe luxury is not defined simply by the value of the property or the products used. It is expressed through proportion, materiality, comfort, craftsmanship and the attention given to every element of the interior.
Every property has its own character, and we believe its interior should reflect it. Our design process begins with an understanding of the architecture, proportions, natural light, views and relationship between spaces, as well as the lifestyle and expectations of the people who will use them.
We do not work to a single signature style. Contemporary, Mediterranean, Scandinavian, classical or more eclectic interiors can all be successful when the design is appropriate to the property and its owners. The result is an interior that feels considered rather than formulaic — combining aesthetics, functionality and a strong sense of individuality.
EXPERIENCE ACROSS THE COSTA DEL SOL
Over the years, Tania Tsygel has built a strong reputation as one of Marbella’s leading interior designers, working on a wide range of residential interiors from private apartments and second homes to luxury villas, penthouses and property developments.
This experience has provided an understanding of the different requirements of high-end residential projects, whether the aim is to create a highly personal home for its owners, prepare a property for the market or furnish a newly developed residence.
Based in Marbella, the studio works with properties and clients throughout the Costa del Sol, including Marbella, Nueva Andalucía, Puerto Banús, Benahavís, La Zagaleta, the New Golden Mile and surrounding areas.
DESIGN EDUCATION & CONTINUING DEVELOPMENT
Tania Tsygel trained at the International School of Design (London/Moscow) and Madrid’s School of Decoration. She also completed Harvard’s Architectural Imagination course, further developing her understanding of architecture and the relationship between space, structure and design.
Tania regularly attends leading international design and furniture exhibitions in Paris, Madrid, Milan and Miami, keeping up to date with new materials, furniture collections, lighting, finishes and developments in contemporary interior design.
Her education and ongoing professional development inform an approach that combines creative thinking with an understanding of architectural space, materials and the practical requirements of residential interiors.
FROM CONCEPT TO TURNKEY INTERIOR
Depending on the project, the studio can manage the interior from the initial concept through to the finished home. Where required, the studio can coordinate furniture sourcing, procurement, delivery, installation and final styling, creating a more streamlined process from the initial concept to the completed home.
By coordinating these elements as one process, we create interiors that are not only visually resolved but ready to be lived in.
PERSONAL INVOLVEMENT
Tania remains personally involved throughout the design process, from the initial ideas and development of the concept through to the final details of the interior.
Close communication with clients allows the design to evolve around their requirements rather than around a predetermined solution. Decisions are considered as part of the overall interior, from architectural proportions and materials to furniture, lighting, artwork and finishing touches.
DESIGN THAT RESPONDS TO THE PROPERTY
Good interior design is not simply about selecting attractive furniture or following current trends. It is about understanding how different elements work together within a particular space.
We consider the architecture, proportions, materials, natural light, views, circulation and intended use of each room before developing the interior. Furniture, lighting, colours, textures and decorative elements are then selected to support the overall concept. This attention to detail is central to creating spaces that feel balanced, personal and complete.
This approach allows each project to develop its own identity while maintaining a coherent relationship between the different spaces of the home.
